  5. Parent support and consultations

I consult professionals from different disciplines, educational institutions, and professional networks, providing thinking spaces for understanding children’s development and their unfolding relationships.

My professional journey began after obtaining an undergraduate degree in Psychology. I  worked for several years in mainstream and therapeutic schools, therapeutic communities, NHS CAMHS teams and in psychiatric units with young people. Concurrently, I completed an MA in Perinatal, child, adolescent and family work: a psychoanalytic observational approach at the Tavistock and Portman, NHS Trust in collaboration with the University of Essex.

Then I embarked on a 4-years NHS-funded Doctoral clinical training in Psychoanalytic Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, part of the British Psychotherapy Foundation in collaboration with University College London (UCL) and the Anna Freud Centre.

For 4-years, I worked and specialised in working with Looked-After and Adopted children, young people and their families. I provided specialised assessments and short- and long-term psychoanalytic psychotherapy for children of various ages grappling with severe trauma, complex difficulties, emotional and behavioural challenges, and attachmnent issues.

Currently, I run a private practice in Haggerston, and I continue to work in a specialised NHS CAMHS (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service) Adolescent team in London, which specialises in work with adolescents and their families facing urgent and acute challenges, including self-harm, suicidality and severe mental crises.

Alongside my work, I teach and supervise MA students and their theses.

I mainly work in person and offer online consultations when suitable.

I work both in English and Greek.
