My approach

At the core of my psychoanalytic psychotherapy practice is a dedicated focus on children, adolescents and young adults, meticulously observing their play, behaviors, and various forms of verbal and non-verbal communication to understand their underlying anxieties and unspoken worries.

Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy is a non-directive and child/young person -led approach that emphasises the importance of the relationship in understanding the unique ways of each individual’s way of relating. It is in building and developing a trusting relationship where deep-seated and complex emotional and behavioural challenges can be understood and addressed effectively.

This increased insight empowers children and young people to gain a deep understanding of themselves and to regulate their emotions more effectively, fostering personal growth and enabling them to realise their potential, build resilience, and develop a stronger sense of identity and self-esteem.
